Otherwise really good! Would buy it again and John and Pelican were a good choice for me. Got an alarm on the app and put it back in the water. In about a year, the M600 only got confused once on the beach and just stopped. I have a complicated free form 40ft pool with beach entry, island, rocks going into the pool in some places, and it gets quite some leaves in the fall and winter. I have had the robot now for about a year and I can say: it is a work horse and very well made. I bought the M600 in the first call with him. John is very competent and confirmed that they do the robot repairs inhouse. Although I live in California, I reached out to John Pelican Shops on the other side of the country. Then I found John Kozas's very factual explanation of all Maytronic pool robots on You Tube. They have so many and so many people have different opinions about each of them. Last year, I ended up researching pool robots again and found the Maytronics brand, but was highly confused which one to buy. So, I went back to a suction based system for a few years.obviously also with its limitations. That robot also didn't really clean the sides of the pool well and even the floor covering wasn't perfect. It continously hung up on the pool drains although I replaced the regular drain covers with robot compatible drain covers.still problematic until I ended up making my own covers that allowed the robot to work. Some years ago I had a pool robot from another main brand and was quite disappointed. Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend Thanks Maytronics and a BIG THANKS to Pelican Pools' Ricky and John for their help, their rebate, free shipping, and extended warranty service. the caddy is a bonus now I don't have to haul a control box, cable AND a bot to the pool edge separately. We don't have a lot of big leaves here but we have a lot of little leaves and some gigundous bugs and I thought a basket would be a better choice. Some other models would have worked well, but the M600 (and its counterpart Active 60) was the only 3-motor version that had a basket instead of cartridges. After a follow-on with several more questions I chose the M600. I also found a video done by them and that was also a great help. I also called and peppered John and Ricky with a lot of questions. Then I found a chart on-line done by Pelican Pools in Morris Plains, NJ. After a recommendation to get a Dolphin I began researching and became overwhelmed with the choices and taking notes on everything just confused the issue. Vacuuming 3x a week or more wasn't in my game plan. Outside of Tucson we get frequent wind and lately it's been a lot more and with construction going on the dust has been non-stop. Didn't work all that well and didn't get used much for that reason. We have an older bot that was left here when we bought the house 11 years ago.
